TRADITION & ROOTS
TRADITION & ROOTS
Presented as part of Andrea Anastasio´s didactic "Mimetics- Ceramics: reflections and refractions" exhibition in the Italian Institute of Culture of Madrid.
Inspired by Mexican Day of the Dead altars, this lamp fuses tradition with innovation.
With its irregular shape and single bulb, it emits a warm light that captivates and transforms interior spaces, honoring our ancestors and reminding us of their eternal presence.
Its name, "Ndene'e", in the Mixtec language, means "see you soon", evoking a temporary farewell full of love and respect.
It is more than a lamp; it is a symbol of creativity, tradition and connection with my origin and Mexican roots.
