SHOWER FLOOR DESIGN | SALTOKI HOME
II Young Talents Design Competition by Saltoki Home 2024.
DESIGNED BY ANDREA F. & YVETTE ROSADO
Teaming up with my partner Yvette Rosado we designed a shower floor for Saltoki Home II Design Contest “Young Talents Saltoki Home”.
Saltoki Home proposed to us the challenge to design an innovative, original and functional shower tray, considering its reproducibility, resistance and durability in natural stone or marble provided by Marmolatek.
Our proposal, "SOBRE AGUA", was born from the illusion of enriching the ritual of showering to live an experience of reconnecting with your inner self through nature outside.
The shower tray was inspired by the precise, ephemeral and natural moment when a drop of water falls into a pond, where concentric waves are generated around it.
To evoke its value and sense of a peace and discernment the shower tray is meant to be reproduced in an Indian Green Marble base.
+ The tray is symmetrical in terms of the x-axis, and has 5 slopes both in the x and y axis, which were calculated with a 1.5% inclination, considering the directions in which the water should flow and flow to the drain.
A SHOWER TRAY DESIGNED TO CONNECT WITH YOUR INNER NATURE.
COMPONENTS:
Base of the Indian green marble shower tray.
2mm thick stainless steel support to protect and contain the cover.
Marble Cover to hide the drain.
