LOCAL BUSINESS USER EXPERIENCE + COMMUNITY TRANSFORMATION PROPOSAL

Teaming up with 3 creative minds from the university we Re-designed the user experience of Baratza Fruitstore Community, employees & clients, to increase their trust and closure between them and create a lasting loyal connection.

WHAT IF WE?

Design a service to strengthen the same closeness between employee to customer, but sharing that same value in the experience of loyal customer to loyal customer.

To build a rich community and engaged one with each other by trust, quality relationships and transparency.

ABOUT THE STORE

Baratza is a fruit shop located in Iturrama ́s neighborhood. It has stayed open in the current market for almost 40 years from now, due to the owner’s dream, Pascual’s dream.

Considered as the Iturrama ́s Boutique and since it’s a family business, they have managed to maintain some values in their service, such as transparency, trust, and the selling of high quality products.

WHY BARATZA IS SO SPECIAL?

They not only provide all these benefits to the neighborhood by the close relationship with their customers making them always feel “part of a big family” and the sense of belonging to.

OUR PURPOSE

The main goal of our project is to share these common values with the people around and to strengthen the sense of community.

For the transformation of the store community, we focused on the current situation of the store which is that people from the neighborhood keep on choosing Baratza over other stores for many generations, due to the CLOSENESS and the strong attention they provide TO EVERY CUSTOMER ON THE STORE.

WE THOUGHT… WHY NOT TO BRING THAT SAME CLOSENESS TO MORE PLACES NEARBY THE NEIGHBORHOOD?

Translated in a structured prototype of a MOVABLE FRESH FRUITS AND OTHER GOODS TROLLEY capable to move from one place to another in order to gain visibility but mostly to spread the beauty of the conversations and dialogues which happen everyday at Baratza, and build up a CLOSER AND BETTER QUALITY LIFE TO THEIR LOYAL COMMUNITY.
